Welcome to the Foundation Good Samaritan in Action (FGSA) website.

FGSA assists the people of Haiti both medically and socially to improve their living conditions.  The medical clinic is located in La Plaine, Haiti and has 12 vaccination posts throughout the area.  FGSA runs a vaccination program, a malnutrition treatment program, a community health education program, and both a women's and youth club.  It also has a well-qualified staff to assist the patients in any way possible.

FGSA believes that education and prevention is just as important as treatment.  For this reason, FGSA educates the Haitian people about hygiene, sexually transmitted diseases, proper care for children and family, AIDS education and prevention, and community care and improvement.

Our Mission

"Foundation Good Samaritan in Action is committed to work in order to improve the social and economic living conditions of our community in a biblical perspective."

Current Events at FGSA

*501(c)(3) Status: Foundation Good Samaritan in Action, Inc. has received its 501(c)(3) exemption status from the U.S. IRS.   It was effective September 2007.

*
The Well Project: Started in late January 2007, we have successfully raised $6,500 to drill a well at FGSA to provide safe drinking water to the people of La Plaine.  We are currently working on acquiring a good piece of land for the well and a dependable drilling company that is experienced in drilling wells and testing water to ensure safe, clean water.

*Project Grandi: Grandi is the Creole word for "growth".  The number of patients the clinic has helped and visit FGSA grows everyday, but our facilities do not.  FGSA is praying and beginning the fundraising efforts to purchase a piece of land right next to the clinic.  This piece of land would be used to install the well and also expand the clinic by building a larger medical facility someday in the future.

We strive to make a better life for the people of Haiti.
