June 19 2007 was my first missions trip. What an awesome and fullfilling time I had doing missions work. Passing out food for the poor, handing out bibles in their native tongue. Attending a Haition church service. Praying with people and for their needs. Handing out shoes and clothing. Mission work was a big part of Jesus's minastry. The reason why this missions trip was so important to me, was I prayed and asked Jesus how He could us me for mission work. I asked and received an answer. If anybody out there wants to know if mission work is right for them? Just pray and wait for an answer. Also I could not beleave how poor of a country Haiti is. People live in wooden shanti's and raw sewage flow in trenches that run along the sides of streets. Some people can't afford clothing. This missions trip showed me how blessed I really am. Also Tyler and Kathy know their way around Haiti really well and know were the safe places are and the not so safe places are. Thank you Tyler and Kathy Kangas for a great time, Looking forward to doing more mission work you and Darlene in the future. Praise God for the safe time and all the work that got done in His name.
